    ## Reduced Locking Forces in Harting Han-Yellock Connectors

Harting has made significant innovations to its Han-Yellock connector to provide easier handling and higher power density in industrial applications. This update specifically targets machine, robotics, and industrial sectors where compact design, ease of use, and high power density are critical.

    ### Reduced Locking Forces and Ease of Use

In the new design, locking forces have been significantly reduced through the application of a circumferential double-lip seal on cabinet and housing-mounted components. The unlatching process can be performed comfortably, even in confined or hard-to-reach areas, thanks to buttons requiring minimal force.

An audible click confirms the completion of the locking process, supporting secure assembly.

    ### Design and Mechanical Features

Maintaining its external appearance, the connector features a stylish design composed of chain-cast components with rounded lines in black and yellow. The connector is ideal for use in visible areas where both functionality and low mounting height are required.

    ### Power Density and Miniaturization

The revised design enables high power density in compact dimensions. The Han-Yellock 60 model can accommodate 48 power contacts with a 16 A power capacity within the space compatible with Han 16B housings. The Han-Yellock 30 monoblock, on the other hand, contains 25 contacts supporting 16 A, offering higher power density than Han EE inserts in standard Han 6B housings.

These features provide significant advantages for applications requiring both miniaturization and high electrical performance.

    ### Modular Integration and Flexible Configuration

The connector is designed to be compatible with modular architectures and supports integration with the Han-Modular series via adapter frames. Increasing the number of contacts and potentials with plug-in modules allows for application-specific adjustments.

The two-part design on the cable side permits both front and rear mounting. Additionally, visual inspection of the connection side can be performed without removing the interface, which simplifies maintenance procedures.

    ### Coding and Assembly Efficiency

Up to 25 coding options ensure correct matching of appropriate interfaces while reducing the risk of incorrect connections. Han-Modular modules and Han-Yellock monoblocks can be assembled quickly without tools using a click system, thereby shortening assembly times.

With these updates, Harting expands the connector's application areas in compact and high-performance industrial systems, supporting the requirements of modern modular architectures.
