Responsibilities of a Back-End Developer​

A back-end developer is responsible for ensuring that the website runs fast, securely, and efficiently. To do this, they:

• Manage software running on the back-end of web applications, using languages such as PHP, Python, Java, C#, and Ruby.
• Manage data stored and processed in database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Develop APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to regulate data exchange between the front-end and back-end.
• Perform critical operations such as security, authorization, and data validation.

Back-End Technologies​

Today, there are many popular technologies for back-end development.

• Node.js: Allows writing server-side code with JavaScript.
• Laravel and Django help write code quickly and in an organized manner.
• For data exchange, REST API and GraphQL are among the most frequently preferred methods.

Why is it Important?​

Even if a site's design is excellent, it cannot fully satisfy the user without a strong back-end system. For example, in an e-commerce site, order recording, payment processing, and product stock control all happen entirely on the back-end.
