✨ See Further, Protect More!
Datasensing, Datalogic's Sensor and Safety unit, is bringing a new breath to industrial safety with the launch of its SLS10 Safety Laser Scanner. This innovative device offers the widest safety coverage on the market, while helping manufacturers increase their protection levels with ultra-fast response times and best-in-class angular resolution. Moreover, it also reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).
🎯 Revolutionary Safety with 10-Meter Range
As the world's first 10-meter safety laser scanner, the SLS10 provides safety coverage of up to 240 m² from a single scanner with a 275° scanning angle and 70 mm detection capability. This allows larger work areas, longer production lines, and bigger industrial machines to be protected with fewer devices. Using a single SLS10 instead of multiple scanners reduces hardware investment, shortens commissioning times, and lowers maintenance requirements.
đź’° More Safety, Less Cost
The SLS10 offers various detection capabilities for different applications. In addition to a 10-meter safety range for 70 mm detection, there are range options of 5 meters for 30 mm, 5.5 meters for 40 mm, 7.5 meters for 50 mm, and 8.75 meters for 60 mm. This flexibility provides an ideal solution for many applications such as palletizing systems, robotic cells, laser cutting machines, woodworking machines, and warehouse AGV/AMRs. Customers ensure that every risk is safely addressed while reducing total system costs.
🧠Adding Value Beyond Safety
Beyond its safety functions, the SLS10 also demonstrates strong performance in navigation applications thanks to its best-in-class angular resolution of up to 0.059°. This is particularly valuable for AGV/AMRs and automated forklifts that require high precision. This additional application potential adds value beyond traditional safety tasks.
⚡ Faster Response, Smaller Footprint
The SLS10 offers an ultra-fast 84 ms response time, which is best-in-class for safety distances over 9 meters. This allows for installations closer to hazardous areas while maintaining compliance. The result is a smaller machine footprint, greater design flexibility, and increased productivity.
⚙️ Smarter Configuration, Easier Commissioning
Datasensing has introduced the redesigned DL Sentinel user interface through its new ONEGUI platform. This simplifies setup and daily management. Users can more easily configure safety zones, monitor Master and Remote devices simultaneously, and automatically select the best balance between safety distance, response time, and environmental conditions with OptimaTune technology. This reduces commissioning time while increasing stock flexibility.
đź’Ş Designed for Reliability
Compliant with SIL-2 and PLd safety standards, the SLS10 offers the necessary reliability for critical industrial environments. Strong immunity to dust helps reduce false triggers, preventing unnecessary and costly machine downtime.
Andrea Donadel, Vice President of Datasensing Industrial Automation Products and Solutions, stated, "There should never be a compromise between safety, protection, productivity, and cost." He added, "With our new SLS10, we are enhancing safety laser scanning for both end-users and system integrators. Its market-leading 10-meter range, fast response time, and advanced configuration tools not only protect larger areas with fewer devices but also provide better operational efficiency and flexibility.
