New Flame Detector for Hazardous Areas from Emerson
Emerson has announced the new flameproof model of its Rosemount 965 flame detector. This new model raises safety standards by offering hazardous area certification for applications requiring hydrocarbon flame detection.
Reliable Detection with QuadSense Technology
Thanks to Emerson's QuadSense technology, the new Rosemount 965 can distinguish hydrocarbon fires from other radiation sources using four infrared sensors. This prevents false alarms, while enabling fire detection within 5 seconds from a distance of up to 45 meters. Five different sensitivity levels provide adjustability according to application needs.
Easy Installation and Low Maintenance
The Rosemount 965, which reduces the need for routine calibration with its factory-calibrated feature, has built-in test capabilities that continuously check its optical and electronic integrity. Various output options, such as HART connectivity, and universal wiring offer easy integration and deployment. Its IP66 and IP68 protection ratings ensure high performance even in harsh operating environments.
Wide Range of Applications
This flameproof model can be used in hazardous areas such as oil and gas facilities, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage tank farms, hazardous material storage areas, and explosive or ammunition sites. It also offers an ideal solution for non-hazardous or light industrial applications such as transportation infrastructure, public buildings, cable tunnels, semiconductor facilities, and warehouses.
