Universal Robots Agile Robots Acquires thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering's European and North American Assets

    Agile Robots aims to expand into new growth areas such as consumer electronics, medical technology, and logistics by acquiring thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering's assets in Europe and North America. Following this acquisition, thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering will continue its operations under the name Krause Automation within Agile Robots.

    This merger combines Agile Robots' AI-powered automation technology with Krause Automation's more than 75 years of engineering and application experience. Agile Robots particularly focuses on the development and implementation of physical AI with this acquisition. Physical AI aims to create systems that combine robotics and artificial intelligence, not just executing pre-programmed commands, but also perceiving their environment, learning from real industrial data, and adapting in real-time.
