Omron has introduced the HVC-P2 B5T-007003 security camera module, capable of detecting operators wearing cleanroom attire. This module offers a solution to the challenges of human detection in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and food processing automation systems.

### Detection Challenges in Cleanroom Environments

Cleanroom operators wear full protective suits that obscure body contours and thermal signatures. Consequently, standard pose estimation models or thermal and ultrasonic detection technologies may be insufficient for accurately identifying human presence.

The B5T-007003 module combines Omron's compact camera and processing hardware with specially trained algorithms designed to recognize human body features beneath cleanroom garments. The training data set covers various positions, including standing, sitting, crouching, and crawling. This ensures that operators can be detected at every stage, from equipment setup to maintenance tasks.

### Security Integration Upon Human Presence Detection

When the module detects human presence, it sends a signal to the central machine controller. This allows the control system to activate or prioritize safe operating modes when moving machinery approaches.
