Siemens has expanded its industrial-grade private 5G infrastructure to the US and seven new countries. This expansion was made possible by two new radio units covering the 3.8–4.2 GHz range and a US-specific CBRS band. As a result, Siemens' 5G infrastructure now reaches a total of 15 countries across Europe and the Americas.

The private CBRS band radio unit allows US manufacturers to use Siemens' private 5G network in their facilities. This infrastructure serves industrial sectors such as manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, intralogistics, heavy industry, and crane operations.

Siemens has also updated its 5G routers with edge runtime capabilities, enabling applications to run directly on the device. This provides real-time, AI-ready data processing on the shop floor.

The private 5G infrastructure developed by the company was designed with industrial use cases, operational requirements, OT cybersecurity, and end-users in mind. This end-to-end infrastructure enables wireless network operation within the facility without the need for third-party providers or mobile operators. Furthermore, as part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, it can be integrated into IT and OT systems.

The system supports automation protocols such as Profinet and offers adjustable data upload and download capacities. It has been certified for wireless ProfiSafe communication by TÜV, the German safety and certification organization.

    ### Infrastructure Availability
    • Newly Added Countries: Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom. The US will be available in Summer 2026.
    • Existing Countries: Austria, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland.

This expansion increases the international reach of Siemens' private 5G solutions in industrial IoT and automation, supporting the use of advanced data processing and communication technologies on manufacturing floors.
