🚀 A New Era in Fuel Cell Power Generation!

Siemens and FuelCell Energy have signed a significant collaboration to accelerate fuel cell-based power generation. This partnership aims to expand distributed energy systems by combining electrical design and supply with fuel cell technologies.

🔌 Electrical Infrastructure Support from Siemens

Under the agreement, Siemens will design and supply electrical balance of plant (EBOP) systems for fuel cell installations. This will support the implementation of commercial projects exceeding 100 MW.

💡 A Powerful Combination: FuelCell Energy and Siemens Expertise

FuelCell Energy designs, manufactures, and operates fuel cell power plants for various applications, including data centers, industrial facilities, and grids. This experience will create synergy when combined with Siemens' expertise in providing electrical infrastructure for fuel cell-based power technologies.

🛠️ Joint Project Development and Innovation

The collaboration includes joint project development covering engineering, integration, and the delivery of distributed energy systems that incorporate fuel cells, battery energy storage, microgrid controls, and medium-voltage electrical equipment. Opportunities to scale and deploy technologies that will improve timelines, reduce costs, and increase deployments will also be explored.

🗣️ Statement from Siemens: "Faster and More Reliable Energy Solutions"

Kevin Brown, Head of Sustainability Solutions, Electrification and Automation, Siemens Smart Infrastructure USA, stated, "The rapid growth of electrification and distributed energy is redefining how power needs to be delivered at scale. By combining FuelCell Energy’s fuel cell technology with Siemens’ electrical infrastructure, service, and integration expertise, we can deliver scalable, on-site power solutions for energy-intensive applications. This will help customers deploy power faster, scale with confidence, and accelerate their transition to lower-emission, more resilient energy systems."

    🔬 Future-Oriented Pilot Projects

The companies will also work on pilot projects and solution development initiatives to evaluate new applications for fuel cell systems and electrical infrastructure, including medium-voltage DC power distribution and modular electrical systems.
