🚀 Teledyne FLIR Raises the Bar in Autonomous Gas Monitoring with ADGiLE™!
Teledyne FLIR is reinforcing its leadership in continuous and autonomous gas detection by adding new capabilities to its ADGiLE™ (Autonomous Detection of Gas Leaks and Emissions) system. This innovative solution goes beyond traditional oil and gas applications, opening up new markets for monitoring gases such as ammonia and ethylene.
🔍 What is ADGiLE™ and What Does It Offer?
ADGiLE™ combines optical gas imaging (OGI) technology, advanced gas detection analytics, and a user-friendly interface. This enables operators to detect emissions quickly and reliably.
- Extensive Camera Options: The system can be configured with uncooled cameras for methane detection or cooled cameras for broad hydrocarbon and VOC detection. The combination of visual and thermal imaging provides more comprehensive site surveillance.
- Pan-Tilt Functionality: Allows monitoring of multiple pieces of equipment over large areas with a single system. ATEX-rated enclosure options are also available for hazardous areas.
- Intelligent Detection and Event Management: ADGiLE™ distinguishes actual emission events from potential false alarms by considering environmental factors (wind speed, temperature difference, rain, etc.). This eliminates the need for operators to manually investigate every possible indication.
- Advanced User Interface: Offers live system views, event playback, historical information, graphical event data, and web/mobile access. Text alerts are directly linked to events, enabling remote assessment and intervention.
💡 Why ADGiLE™?
As Craig O’Neill from Teledyne FLIR states, ADGiLE™ combines proven OGI technology with intelligent analytics and greater camera flexibility, providing operators with continuous visibility into emissions at their facilities. This helps operators distinguish real issues from unnecessary alarms, offering a more systematic and scalable approach to identify and address emissions before they become larger operational or environmental problems.
🏭 Application Areas
ADGiLE™ is ideal for monitoring and detecting emissions from tanks, vent connections, valves, pipelines, separators, and other equipment in the oil and gas sector. It can be used in various applications such as processing plants, bulk gas terminals, and well pad environments.
ADGiLE™ enhances situational awareness by providing continuous monitoring throughout the oil and gas supply chain, helping to reduce emissions to support safer and more efficient operations.
