🚀 Industrial AI Power on the Factory Floor!
Darveen has introduced the 21.5-inch DPC-1210 Industrial Panel PC, bringing a fresh perspective to the world of industrial automation. Powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 125H/U series (Meteor Lake) processors, this fanless HMI (Human-Machine Interface) system combines CPU, GPU, and NPU on a single platform, delivering up to 34 TOPS of AI performance. This enables real-time AI inference and data processing tasks to be performed directly in the factory environment, without the need for cloud connectivity.
👁️🗨️ Stunning Display and Expandable AI
The DPC-1210 features an M.2 expansion slot for dedicated AI acceleration modules, such as the DEEPX DX-M1M, to support intensive machine vision or localized AI workloads. The device's 21.5-inch projected capacitive touchscreen offers Full HD (1920 × 1080) resolution. To ensure comfortable viewing even in bright factory environments, the screen boasts 450 nits of brightness and is equipped with an anti-glare (AG) surface treatment. This feature makes it ideal for continuous monitoring stations and operator control panels.
❄️ Fanless Design and Data Security
Operating without active ventilation, the DPC-1210 utilizes a newly designed copper heat pipe cooling system that efficiently dissipates heat loads from the processor. This guarantees long-term stable operation even in dusty or harsh industrial conditions. For secure data recording and storage, the platform supports two 2.5-inch SATA 3.0 HDD or SSD drives. This dual-drive architecture supports RAID 1 data mirroring, providing instant data redundancy and high-speed recovery for critical industrial applications. The system also offers seamless integration with legacy equipment and external sensors through a comprehensive array of I/O interfaces, including COM, USB 3.0, dual LAN, HDMI, and DisplayPort.
💡 The Importance of Intel Meteor Lake and NPU
The integration of Intel's Meteor Lake (Core Ultra) architecture into fanless industrial panel PCs represents a significant shift in edge thermal management. Meteor Lake's "chiplet" or tile-based design separates CPU, GPU, SoC, and I/O components into distinct silicon tiles. Most importantly, this is Intel's first architecture to integrate a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) directly onto the SoC tile. For industrial HMIs, this means that continuous, low-power AI inference tasks, such as visual anomaly detection or predictive maintenance data parsing, can be entirely offloaded to the NPU. This significantly reduces overall power consumption and heat generation while keeping the primary CPU cores available for critical deterministic control tasks. In a sealed, fanless enclosure like the DPC-1210, minimizing thermal output is critical to preventing thermal throttling, which limits traditional monolithic x86 architectures in hot factory environments.
