    ### 5MP Global Shutter Camera: A New Solution for In-Cabin Monitoring

    E-con Systems has introduced its STURDeCAM57 model, capable of both visible and infrared imaging. This 5MP global shutter RGB-IR camera is specifically designed to support AI in in-cabin monitoring and industrial automation applications.

    ### Seamless Monitoring with RGB and Infrared Imaging

    The STURDeCAM57 was developed for Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Occupant Monitoring Systems (OMS). The camera can process both color (RGB) and infrared images in separate channels under constantly changing lighting conditions. This allows for monitoring in daylight, low-light, or dark environments with a single device.

    Additionally, the device is designed to integrate seamlessly with embedded AI platforms like NVIDIA® Jetson™.

    ### Reduced Load with On-board Image Processing

    The camera performs operations such as RGB-IR separation, demosaicking, and color reconstruction using its on-board Image Signal Processors (ISPs). This structure reduces the processing load on the host system, allowing more resources to be allocated to AI applications.

    ### Durability for Harsh Environments

    The STURDeCAM57 offers visibility in low-light and no-light conditions with 940 nm infrared illumination and high quantum efficiency. Its IP67-certified housing and operating temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C ensure trouble-free use in automotive and industrial environments.

    The camera also maintains stable data transmission with a system that continuously monitors the operating status of the sensor, ISP, and GMSL2 interface.

    ### Industrial Applications Beyond Automotive

    This camera is also ideal for machine vision applications outside the automotive cabin where moving objects need to be captured without distortion. It is particularly used in industrial automation processes, such as automated robots, where motion blur needs to be minimized.

    It supports data and power transmission up to 15 meters with GMSL2, and optionally offers FPD-Link IV connectivity. It is compatible with NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin, Orin NX, and Orin Nano platforms.

    ### Customization and System Integration

    The STURDeCAM57 is supported by customization and integration services to adapt the camera and connected platforms to specific deployment requirements. Application-specific needs can be met in embedded vision and AI-based inspection systems.
