## Swiss Startup BTRY Wins HERMES Startup Award with Ultra-Thin Solid-State Batteries
The 2026 HERMES Startup Award was presented to the young Swiss startup BTRY at the German Hannover Messe trade fair. They impressed the independent jury, chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Hanselka, President of the Fraunhofer Society, with their ultra-thin and fully flexible solid-state batteries.
The award was presented on April 19, 2026, by Dorothee Bär, Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space, in the presence of Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
