    ✨ Next-Generation Engineering: Eplan Platform 2027 Released!

Eplan Platform 2027 offers engineering software users faster results in pre-planning, electrical engineering, and panel design processes. Introduced at Eplan Next26 in May, this new version stands out particularly with its AI-powered Eplan Copilot integration. Copilot provides valuable support in daily project work, streamlining users' workflows. Furthermore, the integration of Eplan Platform into existing IT environments is now much simpler.

🤖 Eplan Copilot: Your AI-Powered Assistant

The common goal of over five hundred improvements in Eplan Platform 2027 is to simplify project work and accelerate engineering. At the forefront of these innovations is the integration of Eplan Copilot into the platform. Available since early September, this AI-powered assistant is accessible directly within the Eplan software as an information service. It provides structured access to Eplan's internal expertise, offering accurate solutions even for complex questions.

Copilot is also a powerful tool for tracking device usage. When engineers want to know which projects they have used a specific product or component in, they simply need to enter the part number. The AI scans all projects in the cloud and provides direct links to the project pages where the device is used. In many operations such as translation, menu simplification, bill of material creation, or quality control, users can interact with Eplan Copilot via voice or text commands to better leverage Eplan's extensive capabilities.

☁️ Centralized Device Management in the Cloud

Additions to device management bring a strategic focus on consistent, end-to-end data and efficient collaboration. With the new cloud-based device management and related synchronization capabilities, Eplan meets a central requirement for modern, hybrid engineering environments. This lays the foundation for consistent master data, digital twins, and cross-system traceability. Improvements in search, selection, transparency, and data quality significantly simplify the daily management of large parts inventories. These enhancements enable better integrated work and significantly more efficient workflows throughout the entire engineering and lifecycle process.

🔄 Cloud Device Management Now Synchronized

In today's device/part management processes, media breaks are common. In hybrid IT environments, companies run both cloud-based and on-premise systems in parallel. Different user interfaces, product data stored in multiple locations, and limited remote access often lead to inconsistencies, increased effort for maintenance, and data gaps in the engineering process.

The new Eplan Platform 2027 creates more clarity in this area and synchronizes processes. By providing data from the Eplan Cloud, users have a uniform front-end workflow. Product data is maintained only once and automatically synchronized bidirectionally between the cloud and local systems (keyword: data management). This also applies to device data and master data such as formulas, drawing frames, and symbol libraries. This workflow provides location-independent access to up-to-date part information. Thus, users achieve maximum data consistency, greater reusability, and reduce the effort required for device management.

    🎯 End-to-End Processes in Focus

The Eplan ecosystem continues to expand with targeted additions for common integrations. This expansion stems from the need to seamlessly connect engineering systems with automation solutions and ERP/PDM solutions. Improved integrations create end-to-end data flows between Eplan and leading partner solutions like Rockwell Emulate 3D. By transferring Eplan data to Rockwell's virtual testing and simulation environment, users can simulate and validate machine and plant system layouts (including real control logic (PLC)) long before hardware is available. Additional integrations into ERP/PDM systems ensure transparent, controllable device synchronization, significantly increasing data reliability in the long term.

🚀 Conclusion: Connected and AI-Powered Engineering

Eplan Platform 2027 represents connected and AI-powered engineering. Developments in pre-planning, improvements in the management of and working with device data, expanded collaboration and integrations – along with the inclusion of Eplan Copilot – clearly demonstrate that with Eplan Platform 2027, users can access relevant information faster, use existing data more consistently, and focus more on actual engineering tasks.
