### Benefits of the Collaboration
Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex system offers a modular and validated architecture, accelerating microgrid projects from design to commissioning. This enables AMS to provide full lifecycle services covering the design, delivery, commissioning, and long-term operation of microgrid projects. This simplifies microgrid installation and enhances resilience and operational performance.

The Hillandale Gateway mixed-use development project in Montgomery County, Maryland, demonstrates the tangible results of this partnership. In this project, AMS designed and is implementing a solar and battery microgrid using EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex. The system ensures efficient operation under normal conditions while guaranteeing the continuation of critical services during grid outages.

By prioritizing critical loads based on battery charge status, Hillandale Gateway provides long-duration power for income-restricted and age-restricted housing, as well as a resilience hub. It also creates environmental and social benefits with estimated annual savings of approximately $150,000 and the prevention of 600 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
