Emerson has introduced brand new Ovation AI Agents for the power and water industries with the release of Ovation Automation Platform version 4.0. These five new agents are set to revolutionize plant operations!
🤖 Next-Generation AI Agents at Work!
The agents included in the new version are:
- Sequence Assistant Agent: Provides AI-powered guidance for sequential functions based on control logic.
- Alarm Analysis Agent: Prioritizes and summarizes critical alarms during alarm floods, helping operators make informed decisions.
- Predictive Maintenance Agent: Acts as an early warning system for critical plant equipment, detecting failures in advance.
- Root Cause Agent: Identifies the source of problems by performing real-time root cause analysis.
- Loop Performance Monitor Agent: Continuously analyzes control loop performance to identify weaknesses and suggest improvements.
💡 Smart Solutions Empowering Operators
Emerson aims to equip plant personnel with critical information through these agents. Operations will become more efficient through continuous monitoring, analysis, and action recommendations. Building on the success of the Ovation Virtual Advisor, these new agents will work synchronously with the Ovation 4.0 system to autonomously monitor plant and equipment conditions and suggest optimizations.
🎯 Transition to Proactive Management
Bob Yeager, president of Emerson's power and water solutions, stated, "Ovation AI Agents represent a major step change in our AI portfolio. They provide a significant advancement in how we help our customers build smarter, more efficient, and resilient operations." These agents will monitor asset health, perform simulations, predict failures, and prioritize interventions with their complex data analysis and pattern recognition capabilities. This will enable operators to transition from reactive to proactive planning without disrupting their daily workflows.
🗓️ First Wave Arrives This Fall!
Ovation AI Agents will be rolled out in phases. The first wave will begin this fall, and customers will be able to deploy individual agents based on their operational priorities. They will be able to expand their portfolio as their needs evolve.
