Vision Components introduced its integrated smart board-level camera called VC EvoCam, powered by a MediaTek processor, at the Embedded Vision Summit 2026. This small camera is designed to provide speed and ease of use in embedded vision applications.
### VC EvoCam: All-in-One Smart Camera
Measuring 65 x 40 mm, the VC EvoCam integrates a MediaTek Genio 510 processor and all necessary components for image acquisition and processing. The device can be configured with numerous image sensors and customized via interface boards. The Mediatek Genio 510 features 2 ARM Cortex-A78 and 4 Cortex-A55 cores, an ARM Mali GPU, and an NPU delivering 3.2 TOPS of performance.
- Sony IMX900 sensor with 3.2 MP resolution (in the first model)
- 2 GB RAM, 16 GB flash storage, and SD 3.0 expansion support
- Debian Linux-based operating system
- Multiple interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, I²C, PCIe, Video DSI
### VC MIPI AR2020 Camera: New High-Performance MIPI Camera with Onsemi Sensor
The VC MIPI AR2020, featuring the AR2020 sensor from Onsemi's Hyperlux LP family, is preferred in IoT and edge AI applications due to its 20 MP resolution, high sensitivity extending into the NIR range, and low power consumption. It can capture 10-bit images at up to 24 frames per second at 5120 x 3840 pixel resolution. Black and white or color options are available.
### VC MIPI IMX540: High-Resolution Camera with Sony Pregius S Global Shutter Sensor
This camera, equipped with the IMX540 sensor from Sony's 1.2-inch format Pregius S series, offers 24.5 MP (5328 x 4608) resolution and a speed of 22 fps. With a 2.74 µm pixel size, this highly sensitive device is ideal for object and human detection.
### Advanced Prototype Support
VC MIPI cameras are offered with over 50 sensor options and come with free open-source drivers. The VC MIPI Bricks system provides comprehensive support for prototyping and serial integration with cable options up to 10 meters, FPGA accelerators, and custom optical and calibrated camera solutions.
### 30 Years of Experience and Innovation
Vision Components, which developed the first industrial smart camera in 1996, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026. With the high computing power of its MediaTek processor and a flexible Linux system, the VC EvoCam brings a new breath to the industry as a modern industrial camera suitable for a wide range of applications.
