Compact and High-Performance Linear Actuators for Industrial Motion

    Schaeffler has introduced the new EWELLIX EMA-50 and EMA-60 linear actuator models for industrial motion applications. These compact actuators offer an ideal solution for space-constrained areas requiring high load-carrying capacity.

    ### Innovative Electric Linear Actuators
    The EMA-50 and EMA-60 expand the EMA series, offering performance in the dynamic load range of 1 to 2 tons. These new models complement previous versions like the EMA-80 and EMA-100, providing energy-efficient, oil-free, and low-maintenance alternatives to hydraulic systems in mobile machinery, construction equipment, plastics processing, and food production sectors.

    ### Technical Specifications
    • Compact design: 50 mm cross-section diameter for EMA-50, 65 mm for EMA-60
    • Load capacity: 1-2 tons dynamic loads
    • Power and speed adjustment with multiple gear ratios
    • Flexible interfaces suitable for standard motor integration
    • Compatibility with resolver systems and braking solutions
    • Performance range: 1 to 8 tons dynamic load capacity

    ### Application and System Integration
    Schaeffler demonstrates the real-world performance of these actuators by using them in modular intralogistics systems, autonomous forklifts, and chain conveyor systems. The flexible motor selection option and features that enable seamless integration into existing machine architectures provide design flexibility for OEMs and system integrators.

    ### Future Vision
    In addition to the new designs, Schaeffler continues its work on geared belt drive versions that enable high linear speeds. With these developments, the EMA series will also find use in different motion systems such as simulators and dynamic applications.

    With the EMA-50 and EMA-60, Schaeffler strengthens its electrification strategy in industrial and mobile applications, offering compact, efficient, and flexible motion solutions.
