    IBASE Technology and AMD are expanding their collaboration to support the development of physical AI systems through edge computing platforms designed for robotics and industrial automation.

    This partnership combines AMD's heterogeneous embedded computing architecture with IBASE's expertise in industrial edge computing, enabling AI processing in demanding operational environments.

    The collaboration targets industrial robotics, autonomous machines, automotive systems, and other edge AI applications that require real-time sensing, deterministic computing, and long-term system availability. These sectors increasingly need local AI processing to reduce latency, enhance operational reliability, and maintain continuous operation without reliance on cloud connectivity.

    ⚙️ Roles and Technical Responsibilities of Partners​


    • AMD: Provides the embedded processing platform through its Ryzen AI Embedded X100 Series processors. These processors integrate multi-core Zen 5 CPUs, XDNA 2 neural processing units, and RDNA 3.5 graphics processors in a heterogeneous computing architecture. This combination enables simultaneous AI inference, graphics acceleration, and traditional processing.
    • IBASE: Offers the industrial edge AI computing platform by integrating AMD embedded processors into its AA700 robotic edge computer. The company is responsible for system integration, industrial-grade hardware design, and delivering platforms with long product lifecycle support suitable for continuous operation in industrial environments.

    💡 Technical Solution: The AA700 Platform​


    The AA700 platform combines up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, an XDNA 2 NPU capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of performance for AI inference, and RDNA 3.5 graphics providing up to 60 TFLOPS of computational performance. The architecture supports workloads such as machine perception, scene analysis, and autonomous decision-making, while maintaining the deterministic system behavior required for industrial automation.

Advancements in robotics require a balanced approach to performance, real-time determinism, and AI acceleration. AMD makes this possible through a heterogeneous computing platform specifically designed for industrial-scale physical AI deployments."

    The collaboration was unveiled at the AMD Advancing AI 2026 event held in San Francisco, California, USA, on July 22-23, 2026. IBASE showcased its robotic edge AI platform as part of the AMD Robotics Partner Network. The ecosystem approach supports interoperability between hardware, software, and AI development tools, enabling manufacturers to integrate edge AI systems into existing digital infrastructure.
