Endress+Hauser has acquired SOPAT, a company specializing in online particle measurement. With this acquisition, SOPAT and its subsidiary Parsum have been integrated into Endress+Hauser's process analysis portfolio.

SOPAT's intelligent systems analyze particles, droplets, and bubbles in real-time within the process using photo-optical image-based online technology. This technology measures particle size and shapes without sampling or dilution, enabling precise process monitoring, faster intervention, and improved product quality. Parsum sensors, on the other hand, analyze the size and velocity distribution of particles, especially those in solid, powder, and granular forms, using a combination of laser beam and fiber optic spatial filtering.

According to Endress+Hauser, this platform expansion aims to help customers achieve sustainable process optimization in the face of rising energy and raw material costs. At the same time, the company is expanding its analysis package, building a stronger customer support capacity from laboratory to production. This expansion will make a significant difference, particularly in sectors such as life sciences, food and beverage, and mining.

    ### Advantages of SOPAT and Parsum Technologies
    • Photo-optical image-based real-time analysis of particles, droplets, and bubbles
    • Precise measurement without the need for sampling or dilution
    • Particle size and shape tracking
    • Particle size and velocity distribution via laser beam and fiber optic filtering
    • Optimized analysis for solid, powder, and granular materials
