📦 Unitech Introduces High-Speed Packaging Conversion Technology​

Unitech, aiming to enhance product consistency for industrial stretch film manufacturers and commercial distributors, showcased its high-speed packaging conversion technology at PACK EXPO 2026. This innovative technology marks a breakthrough in packaging automation.

🚀 Model T012: Automatic Pre-Stretched Film Wrapper​

According to Kristian Hulgard, North American sales director for MotionTech, Unitech's owner, the Model T012 Automatic Pre-Stretched Film Wrapper is an advanced converting system that processes stretch film master rolls through servo-controlled rollers to achieve variable pre-stretch ratios. Hulgard states that all parameters for how the film will be wrapped can be adjusted on the machine interface.

🌍 MotionTech Expands in the US Market​

Hulgard explained that the company's expansion into the US reflects broader trends. MotionTech has established a regional operational base in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area to support its North American portfolio. Hulgard added that factors such as increasing labor shortages and bringing technology to the US are driving automation, and MotionTech has plans for local manufacturing in the near future.

💡 T012's Consistency and Accessibility Advantages​

The Model T012 automatically folds the edges of the film to reinforce it against tearing, then wraps it into smaller rolls for manual stretch wrapping of pallets. When used in place of human labor, this system allows stretch film distributors to achieve more consistent quality, saving costs and materials.

Rafael Minassian, Business Development Manager at MotionTech, states that an operator performing manual wrapping cannot maintain the same consistency throughout the day and may use more material than necessary. The Model T012 eliminates this inconsistency, increasing material yield and providing higher quality rolls to end-users.

One application of the product is the automatic wrapping of pallets filled with boxes in factories. This makes the strenuous and inconsistent work manually performed by operators much more efficient with the Model T012.

Hulgard emphasized that Unitech's product also follows the trend of accessibility in automation, thanks to its programming interface and price point.
