🌟 BOPLA Introduced with BoNext Series!
BOPLA has launched BoNext, a new generation of modular electronic enclosure series that combines modern industrial design with high technical flexibility. With over 300 readily available variants, it caters to developers of IoT devices, touchscreens, and industrial control technology.
🛡️ Superior Protection and Durability
These enclosures offer scalable protection up to IP68 and are made from flame-retardant polycarbonate (UL 94 V-0), making them ideal for demanding environments. The official launch of the series will take place in November 2026 at the electronica fair in Munich and the SPS fair in Nuremberg.
✨ Elegant Design and Smart Signaling
BoNext's construction concept completely eliminates visible screw connections on the top surface; assembly is invisibly done from the flat bottom section. The integrated ambient lighting creates an illuminated ring behind the device thanks to the transparent bottom section. This can be used both as an aesthetic design element and functionally for visual status signaling of the electronics. Customizable design and functional seals in various colors ensure seamless integration into the customer's corporate design.
⚙️ Modular Scalability and Design for Demanding Environments
The BoNext series is available in nine sizes, specifically designed for common touchscreen formats. The basic version, which provides IP30 protection with ventilation slots, can be upgraded to IP66 or IP68 (water-resistant up to 1.2 meters deep for two weeks) with various sealing options. The polycarbonate used meets the highest requirements for permanent outdoor use thanks to its f1 listing (UL 746C). Additionally, the material is certified according to the DIN EN 45545 fire protection standard at the highest hazard level, HL3, for railway vehicles. Modular accessories such as VESA and pole mounts facilitate installation in various deployment scenarios.
🔬 The Importance of Polycarbonate: Outdoor and Railway Applications
In industrial enclosure engineering, the transition from protected indoor environments to harsh outdoor or transit environments places extreme demands on material science. Standard ABS plastics quickly degrade under continuous UV radiation, becoming brittle and losing mechanical impact resistance. Polycarbonate blends with UL 746C f1 certification solve this problem by permanently protecting the material against weathering and brittleness thanks to special UV stabilizers. Furthermore, compliance with the DIN EN 45545 fire protection standard (Hazard Level 3) is a critical distinguishing factor for use in trains and railway vehicles. This standard tests not only flammability but also smoke density and the toxicity of released gases. Electronic enclosures that meet these strict normative requirements allow system integrators to deploy the same hardware platform directly into tightly regulated mobility and infrastructure projects without complex and costly material redesigns.
