NORD DRIVESYSTEMS' NORDAC PRO SK 500P control cabinet inverter can be easily integrated into automation environments thanks to its versatile interfaces and integrated functions. This inverter acts as a control center between control and axis movement, ensuring optimal control of the drive and peripheral units.

⚙️ Precise Motor Control​

Offering precise motor control for asynchronous and synchronous motors, the NORDAC PRO SK 500P can operate with or without encoder feedback. It stands out with a high overload capacity of up to 200%, stable and load-independent speed, and dynamic start/stop features.

🎯 Integrated POSICON Function​

Thanks to the integrated POSICON function, movement to numerous absolute positions or incremental feeding along endlessly rotating axes can be easily achieved. The movements of multiple drives synchronized along the same axis are easily provided using internal functions. Sequential control of multiple axes, including encoder evaluation, can also be implemented in applications such as storage systems.

💡 One Inverter Series, Wide Range of Applications​

With an overload capacity of up to 200%, the NORDAC PRO SK 500P can be used for a wide range of drive applications, including lifting equipment, pumps thanks to PI control, or dynamic applications thanks to encoderless CFC open-loop injection control. This makes NORDAC PRO SK 500P inverters standard in control cabinets, reducing effort in terms of procurement, storage, and spare parts range.

⚡ Ready for Quick Use​

NORD focused on easy system integration when designing this control cabinet inverter. Four Industrial Ethernet dialects such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and POWERLINK can be selected via the multi-protocol Ethernet interface using parameter settings. The integrated PLC functions as a soft PLC that performs drive-related functions. This allows the NORDAC PRO SK 500P to reduce the load on the main PLC or make smaller PLCs unnecessary. As a standalone device, it eliminates the need for a higher-level control unit in single machines. All of this speeds up the commissioning of machines and systems and reduces wiring, installation, and maintenance effort.

📏 More Space in the Control Cabinet​

Inverters in all power classes from 0.25 kW to 160 kW save a significant amount of space in the control cabinet thanks to their compact design. The NORDAC PRO SK 500P is available in book size for power classes up to 22 kW. Depending on the system architecture, integrated functions also eliminate the need for previously required additional control cabinets or even slots in the control cabinet for a high-level PLC.
