Alongside trends such as connectivity, robotics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, issues like supply chain uncertainties and labor shortages were also on the agenda.
Groundbreaking Solution from Flexxbotics
Flexxbotics, offering an autonomous platform for closed-loop manufacturing and industrial AI, introduced the latest version of its technology in response to these issues. This platform helps manufacturers improve connectivity and resolve the problem of fragmented information across the company.
Real-Time Control and Autonomous Operations
Tyler Bouchard, CEO of Flexxbotics, stated that the platform provides a real-time control plane for autonomous operations. The system can detect changing conditions, identify corrective responses, and contextualize production data to perform controlled actions. Production teams can decide when the software should act autonomously and when human approval is required.
Increased Efficiency and Scaling Human Expertise
According to Bouchard, the platform helps increase production capacity, improve yield, and reduce downtime. The ability to apply corrections to deviations, in particular, sets Flexxbotics apart from other platforms. Bouchard said, "We help correct that deviation and apply the correction through the same digital pipelines that we've built to capture the information." This closes the loop in production, from a single work cell to the entire factory.
Feedback Loops in Multi-Facility Operations
The platform creates real-time feedback loops in multi-facility operations and includes edge software with protocol-level drivers. According to the company, the software processes events, contextualizes production data, and coordinates closed-loop operations.
Eliminating Information Silos
Bouchard also addressed the industry trend of connectivity, noting that "information is often fragmented on the shop floor," and manufacturers struggle to digitize process control. Flexxbotics gathers information from different business systems into one place, allowing employees to access and act on this information. Bouchard emphasized that this is a major benefit for manufacturers in addressing process control and building a foundation for scaling automation.
