🛠️ Digital Support Solution for the Manufacturing Sector 🛠️
Rockwell Automation has announced its TechConnectIQ Support service, aiming to provide solutions to the challenges faced by maintenance, operations, and engineering teams in manufacturing facilities. This new digital platform offers 24/7 access to industrial automation experts, enabling remote intervention for issues such as increasing system complexity and a shortage of qualified personnel.
🧠 AI-Powered Smart Solutions 🧠
TechConnectIQ aims to shorten maintenance processes and troubleshooting times by combining AI tools directly with engineering support:
- Expert Access: Instant troubleshooting with web-based interactive tools, live technical support, and scheduled engineering consultations.
- Unified Asset Visibility: Centralized access to installed base tracking, active service agreements, and historical support data via the myRockwellAutomation TechConnect portal.
- AI and Digital Tools: AI-powered unified search engines, augmented reality (AR) visual guidance, and training videos to guide technicians through physical repair and maintenance processes.
- Tiered Support Coverage: Consolidates hardware and software maintenance contracts into three different service tiers: Basic, Standard, and Professional.
🌍 Global Reach and Secure Connection 🌍
TechConnectIQ Support has been launched for single-location customers in North America. It is planned to expand to international markets throughout 2027.
Modern industrial remote support platforms provide secure, encrypted tunnel access to devices such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). This allows remote engineers to access diagnostic logs, monitor real-time logic execution, and analyze system event logs without the need for on-site firewall openings.
AI-powered diagnostic engines index equipment manuals and operational logs to automate root cause analysis for fault codes. Augmented reality workflows reduce the risk of human error by overlaying real-time terminal wiring diagrams and module replacement instructions onto physical control panels using spatial mapping and computer vision algorithms on mobile or wearable devices.
