    🌟 Revolutionizing Image Processing Systems in Industrial AI​


    Vision Components develops modular camera platforms and image sensor technologies to accelerate embedded vision projects in industrial automation. These systems are designed to facilitate the development of data-driven analysis and monitoring systems.

    🤝 Operational Challenges and Collaborations​


    Industrial machine vision applications require seamless coordination between image acquisition, data processing, and system integration. To simplify these complex hardware architectures, Vision Components combines its own interface components with processing units and sensor technologies from technology partners such as MediaTek, Sony, and Onsemi. This allows system integrators to incorporate high-performance camera systems into their automation and robotics equipment without the need for in-depth hardware development.

    ⚙️ Technical Solution and Responsibilities​


    The technical architecture includes a VC EvoCam system camera controlled by an AI processor with 3.2 TOPS processing power, running on a customized Debian Linux operating system. Additionally, Vision Components develops high-resolution MIPI camera modules. One module with global shutter sensor technology offers 24.5-megapixel resolution at 22 frames per second, while another configuration uses a rolling shutter sensor with 20 megapixels and enhanced near-infrared sensitivity. The infrastructure is complemented by an accessory system integrating trigger adapters, FPGA accelerators for MIPI data streaming, and coaxial and GMSL2 interfaces for transmission distances up to ten meters.

    🚀 Application and Deployment​


    This system architecture will be showcased at the technical exhibition of the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV), held from September 10-12, 2026, at the Malmömässan exhibition center in Malmö, Sweden. During implementation, engineers adapt the hardware to the mechanical specifications of the target systems by configuring the processing units with either built-in sensors or cabled remote sensors. Vision Components provides the source code for the drivers of all implemented camera modules to accelerate software integration.

    🎯 Application Areas and Use Cases​


    These optical capture systems are used in edge AI and IoT applications that require rapid data analysis directly at the source. Specific technical use cases include visual inspection of humanoid robots and algorithms for industrial object and person detection. The high sensitivity and low power requirements of the sensors stabilize optical analysis even under challenging industrial lighting conditions.

    By utilizing these pre-configured system components, developers reduce the effort required for prototyping and optimize the transition of embedded vision solutions to series production. The combination of integrated signal processing and adaptable sensor modules ensures the functional efficiency of image processing workflows at the system level and minimizes the integration steps required within industrial production networks.
