TE Connectivity has stepped into the world of automation with an innovative product: the SCHRACK RSY relay series! This new 10A PCB relay promises high performance, reliability, and sustainability despite its compact size.
✨ High Performance and Compact Design
- Specifically designed for factory and building automation, HVAC systems, and motion control applications.
- Supports high inrush currents and switching capacities up to 10 A at 277 VAC.
- Replaces TE's 35-year-old SCHRACK MSR relay, allowing for easy integration into existing designs without requiring PCB modifications.
🌱 Environmentally Friendly and Durable
- Reduces CO2 emissions by more than 15% thanks to advanced materials, improved components, and fully automated production.
- Offers reliable performance even at high temperatures up to 105°C and is more resistant to vibration.
- Works flawlessly even in low signal load applications with a cycle life of over 1 million cycles at a minimum 5V and 1mA contact load.
- A more sensitive monostable magnetic coil system reduces heat generation, ensuring energy efficiency.
🌍 Future Expansion
- Initially launched with Normally Open (NO; Form A) contact type, the series will soon expand with Changeover (CO; Form C) variants and through-hole soldering versions.
- Approved for use in potentially hazardous environments, such as HVAC units using environmentally friendly A2L and A3 refrigerant gases.
💡 Why Is It Important?
The transition to refrigerants with a low global warming potential (GWP) requires all electrical components in HVAC and refrigeration systems to meet strict safety standards. The SCHRACK RSY relay is designed to be compatible with these new generation refrigerants. Furthermore, the increase in DC loads and high inrush current components (such as LED drivers, motor drivers) in modern industrial automation necessitates relays with more robust contact materials and precise coil systems that minimize heat generation. The RSY series offers a complete solution to these needs.
