Rodriguez has introduced the Thomson Movotrak™ Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU), a groundbreaking solution for industrial cobots. This innovative system adds a mobile 7th axis to cobots, extending their working range up to 10 meters. Now, a single cobot can flexibly perform tasks at multiple stations on a production line, thereby maximizing system utilization and eliminating retooling times.

🛡️ Autonomous Safety and Easy Programming​

The Movotrak CTU is the only 7th axis on the market with autonomous collision detection. This feature allows it to detect potential collisions while in motion and stop automatically, enhancing safety in environments with high human-machine interaction. Furthermore, thanks to its integrated Freedrive function, operators can manually guide the robot along the axis and quickly record positions, shortening teaching and changeover times.

The system is built on two robust linear units providing maximum torque capacity and is offered as a complete solution including the motor, gearbox, and control cabinet.
