💡 Future Manufacturing Exhibited at FAKUMA 2026

At FAKUMA 2026, FANUC showcased its innovative solutions that bring together injection molding, robotics, and digital manufacturing. These integrated automation systems aim to increase productivity, quality, and flexibility through artificial intelligence and digital connectivity.

🤖 Electric Injection Molding and the Power of Artificial Intelligence

FANUC offers advanced electric injection molding equipment with integrated artificial intelligence for the plastics processing industry. These systems push the boundaries of automation, guaranteeing process repeatability, especially in the production of medical packaging and precise technical components.

    ⚙️ CNC-Controlled ROBOSHOT Machines

The highlight of the fair was FANUC's all-electric ROBOSHOT injection molding cells. These machines precisely control servo drives, continuously regulating acceleration, motion, and holding pressure. While the ROBOSHOT S180C is designed for technical molding applications, the ROBOSHOT S350C stands out as an integrated production cell for medical packaging manufacturing. These systems minimize material waste while ensuring process stability.

🗣️ Collaborative Robots with Generative AI

FANUC's CRX series collaborative robots can be programmed with voice commands thanks to generative artificial intelligence algorithms. This innovation simplifies robot setup, eliminating the need for manual coding. Additionally, integrated machine vision systems allow robots to dynamically adjust part orientation.

🌐 Digital Connectivity and Industrial IoT

FANUC's digital ecosystem ensures seamless data exchange through LINKi2 software and EUROMAP 82.1/82.2 standard interfaces. WebAPI applications and Moldex3D simulation data enable manufacturing engineers to correlate digital twin models with physical machine performance.

📈 Industry Leadership and Operational Scope

Paul Ribus, FANUC Europe Sales Coordination Manager, stated that the integration of electric injection molding, artificial intelligence, and digital connectivity meets the fundamental requirements of data-driven manufacturing. These solutions help operators create flexible and scalable production cycles.

🌟 Technical Details and Competitive Analysis

The FANUC ROBOSHOT series competes with rivals such as Sumitomo (SHI) Demag IntElect and Engel e-motion. These machines offer 50-70% energy savings compared to traditional hydraulic systems and utilize a double toggle clamping mechanism. The CRX collaborative robots compete with the Universal Robots UR series and KUKA LBR iisy. CRX models, with payloads ranging from 3 kg to 30 kg, offer internal torque sensors that do not require external hardware and provide 0.04 mm repeatability.
