Emerson has announced the DeltaV Automation Platform, specifically designed for data centers. This platform offers a single automation system for monitoring and controlling data centers, particularly those operating at AI scale.
The company states that the platform unifies thermal, mechanical, and electrical subsystems under a scalable architecture. Through an integrated automation architecture, it aims to reduce engineering effort, simplify integration, and enhance consistency in commissioning, operation, and maintenance processes.
Nathan Pettus, president of process systems and solutions at Emerson, said, "Data center performance is no longer defined solely by individual components, but by how effectively critical systems work together. The DeltaV Automation Platform provides operators with the unified visibility and coordinated control they need to commission projects predictably and operate reliably at scale."
According to Emerson, the platform offers the following advantages:

Both DeltaV DCS and DeltaV PLCs incorporate context-specific AI technologies, enabling data centers to integrate AI optimization models.
