💪 Powerful Solution for Heavy Industry from Yaskawa

Yaskawa has expanded its industrial automation portfolio with the MOTOMAN GP215L, a new six-axis robot designed for heavy material handling and assembly applications. This robot stands out with its 215 kg payload capacity, 3,114 mm reach, and enhanced wrist dynamic capacity.

    🎯 Ideal for Large Parts

Responding to the increasing size and weight of industrial components, the GP215L is designed for precise handling of large frames, cast parts, battery packs, and heavy tools in sectors such as automotive, machine manufacturing, steel fabrication, and electric vehicle components. It offers greater flexibility with an additional 30 kg payload capacity on its U-arm.

    ✨ Enhanced Wrist Dynamic Capacity

One of the most significant innovations of the GP215L is its optimized mechanical structure, which provides up to 44% increased wrist torque and inertia values compared to previous models. This allows for the handling of larger tools and heavier workpieces with high stability and precision.

🛡️ Precision and Protection for Industrial Environments

Offering ±0.1 mm repeatability, the GP215L is ideal for processes requiring high positioning accuracy. The robot body has an IP54 protection rating, and its wrist has an IP67 rating, ensuring reliable operation in dusty, humid, and process liquid environments. Its compact design allows for easy integration into both new and existing production lines.

🚗 Applications in Automotive and Advanced Manufacturing

The GP215L provides a solution for the increasing size of vehicle bodies, structural castings, electric vehicle battery packs, and other large mechanical assemblies used in modern manufacturing. Typical applications include handling vehicle bodies and sub-assemblies, transporting cast parts, processing battery packs and cells, machine loading/unloading, and handling large mechanical assemblies.

📈 Expansion of High-Payload Robot Portfolio

With the launch of the GP215L, Yaskawa is expanding its portfolio of heavy material handling robots, strengthening its strategy to support applications involving increasingly larger and heavier industrial components.

    🌐 Market Analysis

The market for high-payload industrial robots continues to grow with vehicle electrification and the automation of heavy material handling processes. Manufacturers such as ABB, KUKA, FANUC, and Yaskawa compete in this field. The GP215L stands out with its 215 kg payload capacity, 3,114 mm reach, and up to 44% increased wrist dynamic capacity.
