Hypertherm Associates has announced a new version of Robotmaster, its offline programming software developed for robotic plasma cutting, welding, and contour processing. This update aims to accelerate users' transition from CAD to manufacturing with increased performance and a more stable platform infrastructure.

    ### Performance and Workflow Improvements

Robotmaster's April 2026 release (V11.0) offers up to twice the performance in calculations and file operations for complex robot programs and dense toolpath structures. Verification time is shortened, especially for large CAD models and intensive cutting paths, increasing overall workflow efficiency.

    ### Standardized Robotic Plasma Cutting Cells

Robotmaster has collaborated with industry leaders among robot arm manufacturers to develop a standardized method for setting up robotic plasma cutting cells. This reduces the engineering process, time spent on-site, and the need for custom installations, allowing systems to be commissioned more quickly and consistently.

    ### More Predictable Robot Movements

When transitioning from offline programming to production, especially when external axes are used, small tool orientation differences could require extra adjustments in production. With the new version, robot movements are more consistent, resulting in less rework and fewer surprises from cut to cut.

    ### Key Technological Features

    • Plasma Module Update: Cutting support has been added for Hypertherm's new XPR460 model.
    • Thickness Detection: The thickest parts on selected cutting paths are automatically detected in the plasma module to help users choose the correct cutting table.
    • Tool Limits for Welding and Contour Modules: Angular constraints and path corrections are automated, reducing user intervention and providing smoother robot movements.
    • CAD Converter Updates: Compatibility with CAD workflows has been improved by supporting the latest versions of the most popular CAD systems.

Since 1968, Hypertherm Associates has been developing industrial cutting systems and software, and is known worldwide for products used in the manufacturing of ships, aircraft, and machinery. With Robotmaster software, it offers a powerful solution for operational efficiency and automation processes.
