Teledyne e2v has introduced its new Caiman imaging module, offering high sensitivity and superior image quality in low-light conditions. This compact and lightweight module is specifically designed for challenging low-light applications.
### Caiman Module Features
- Based on the OnyxMax sensor
- High quantum efficiency in the near-infrared spectral band
- High spatial resolution
- High sensitivity at low light levels below 1 mlx
- Image processing features such as automatic exposure control, noise filtering, histogram equalization, and binning
- Very low power consumption (under 1 watt)
- Low latency with high-speed support over 120 fps
- Easy digital system integration with MIPI interface
### Application Areas
Caiman offers an ideal solution for applications such as night vision, surveillance, laser detection, and scientific imaging. Thanks to CMOS technology, it provides reliable performance in both day and night conditions.
The module will be showcased at the SPIE Defense + Security exhibition, taking place from April 26-30, 2026, in National Harbor, USA. Teledyne's booth will be located at number 703. Requests for documentation, samples, and software for evaluation and development are being accepted.
