## Augmented Reality Operator Guidance Platform for Assembly

Belgian software provider ARKITE has developed an Operator Guidance Platform aimed at digitizing manual assembly, picking, and quality control processes. This system replaces physical documentation with augmented reality (AR) instructions and real-time feedback from sensors. Designed using standard components from Bosch Rexroth's modular workstation systems, the platform is globally applicable in the electronics, aerospace, and automotive sectors, aiming to ensure nearly error-free quality in complex manual operations.

### Augmented Reality Projection and Workflow Integration

The core technology uses a "pick-to-projection" mechanism to show operators assembly sequences. The "Guide" mode directly projects AR instructions onto the work surface and relevant picking bins, allowing operators to focus on their tasks without looking at an external monitor. This system integrates auxiliary hardware such as smart clamping units, pressing stations, and collaborative robots into a single workflow. This ensures process steps are performed in the correct order, reducing manual errors in documented applications by up to 90%.

### Real-Time Validation and Vision-Based Quality Control

In the "Validate" version, 3D sensors and special algorithms are used to monitor tasks instantly, allowing deviations from programmed work instructions to be detected and corrected immediately. For situations requiring high precision, high-resolution visual sensors called ARKITE Vision check micro-assembly accuracy. Thanks to these 3D sensing capabilities, the rework and scrap rates have decreased by 80% in over 1000 applications worldwide, significantly improving First Pass Yield (FPY).

### Modular Structure and System Compatibility

The platform is based on Bosch Rexroth's modular systems, which are suitable for ergonomic and clean working conditions. Key technical features include:
