\n\nFraunhofer-Gesellschaft is presenting its new technologies for increasing resilience, efficiency, and sustainability in industrial systems at Hannover Messe 2026. The event focuses on the integration of data, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced materials, supporting flexible and adaptable industrial value creation in uncertain global conditions.\n\n### Resilient Industry with Data Ecosystems and Artificial Intelligence\nFraunhofer offers solutions on how connected data systems and AI-powered processes can enhance industrial resilience. Smart data pipelines, automated workflows, and digital twins accelerate decision-making processes, making systems more flexible.\n\nThese technologies form the basis of a digital supply chain where data is continuously collected, validated, and production and logistics are optimized. Additionally, with methods such as \"secure unlearning,\" data security is ensured, making it possible to remove specific data in distributed AI systems.\n\n### Digital Twins and Virtual Engineering Environments\nFraunhofer supports engineering and service development with applications that integrate digital twins, virtual visualization, and AI avatars. These systems enable virtual simulation of industrial processes, increasing collaboration and reducing the need for physical prototypes.\n\n### Advanced Electronics and Semiconductor Integration\nHigh-performance packaging technologies are being introduced through APECS pilot line solutions. These developments, focusing on chip integration, thermal management, and reliability, create compact and efficient electronic systems compatible with European semiconductor initiatives.\n\n### Circular Economy and Sustainable Materials\nIn exhibits focusing on resource efficiency and the circular economy, energy-saving recovery of critical raw materials from batteries using chemical-free electrochemical processes is demonstrated. Additionally, Thermo-Catalytic Reforming (TCR) technology, which converts biogenic waste into synthesis gas, bio-oil, and biochar, is presented.\n\nFraunhofer supports lightweight and sustainable construction, furniture, and packaging applications with synthetic binder-free and recyclable wood-based Lignew foam material.\n\n### Industrial Applications in Agriculture and Energy Sectors\nWhile bio-based fertilizers reduce the environmental impact of over-fertilization with controlled nutrient release, technologies encompassing production, storage, transport, and industrial use in the hydrogen value chain are featured in the energy sector.\n\n### Optimization in Production and Logistics Systems\nMathematical optimization tools offer solutions for complex multivariate production planning. This allows businesses to increase production capacity while reducing costs and ensuring delivery reliability.\n\n### Global Collaboration and Industrial Transformation\nThrough international projects conducted via its liaison office in Brazil, Fraunhofer emphasizes the role of global innovation networks in industrial transformation and knowledge sharing.\n\nFraunhofer's applied research approach integrates artificial intelligence, data ecosystems, and sustainable technologies to create resilient and adaptable industrial systems in the face of global uncertainties.
