The sky is smiling tonight. Moon, Saturn, and Neptune will conjunct

Gökyüzü bu akşam gülümsüyor. Ay, Satürn ve Neptün kavuşacak
Tonight, the rare triple conjunction of the Moon, Saturn, and Neptune will be visible in the sky. The alignment, which will occur shortly after sunset, will create a "smiling face" appearance.

A rare celestial event awaits observers tonight, January 23rd.

The Moon will pass in a gentle arc beneath Saturn and Neptune after sunset. This triple alignment will form a natural "smiling face" appearance when viewed from Earth.

Such alignments offer a rare opportunity for three celestial bodies in the Solar System to appear close together simultaneously.

BEST OBSERVATION TIMES AND CONDITIONS

The triple conjunction is not due to the celestial bodies actually being close to each other in space, but rather appearing in the same region when viewed from Earth.

According to experts, the best observation window is 30–90 minutes after sunset. Since the trio will descend towards the western horizon during this time, it's necessary to act quickly.

The Moon and Saturn will be easily visible to the naked eye at dusk. However, as Neptune is quite dim, using binoculars or a small telescope will significantly facilitate observation.

VISIBLE FROM A LARGE PART OF THE WORLD

The triple conjunction will be visible from a wide area of the world. It can be caught in the sky shortly after sunset in the Northern Hemisphere (USA, Canada, Europe, and Asia) and in parts of the Southern Hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America).
