## Dürr AG Introduces EcoAUC2 Application Control Unit

Dürr has launched EcoAUC2, a new generation control unit designed for automated painting systems. This system centralizes the control of dosing technology, applicators, and auxiliary components, ensuring reliable and efficient coating processes in industrial production.

### Advanced Control Functions

EcoAUC2 expands the scope of components it controls compared to its predecessor. In addition to dosing technology and applicators, high-speed discharger control has been integrated to shorten cycle times and enhance operational safety in high-voltage environments.

An optionally integrated air heater can be regulated by the control system. This feature minimizes the impact of environmental factors on coating quality in humid or hot production conditions, ensuring consistent application quality.

To facilitate integration into modern plant architectures, EcoAUC2 supports industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and DeviceNet. This enables data exchange with high-level production systems and factory networks.

### Integrated Cleaning Equipment Control

For the first time, the cleaning equipment of Dürr atomizers can be fully controlled via the application control unit. This simplifies system integration while centralizing process coordination.

In EcoBell2 high-speed rotary atomizer applications, EcoAUC2 automatically verifies that the high voltage is safely disconnected before initiating the cleaning cycle. Cleaning is activated only after this confirmation, thereby reducing the risk of hazardous situations during maintenance or automated cleaning operations.

### Increased Color and Hardener Capacity

EcoAUC2 responds to increasing personalization and expanded color palettes in industrial coating processes by increasing the supported color channels from 10 to 20.

Hardener management has been increased from three to five, enabling the application of more complex paint formulations and rarely used multi-component systems.

Thanks to its large screen, operators can monitor and manage application parameters and system status from a single point.

EcoAUC2 serves as a central control unit in automated paint application lines with its extended color management, integrated cleaning control, and multi-protocol connectivity. It aims to support flexible coating processes while enhancing process reliability and simplifying plant integration.
