## EcoAUC2 Application Control Unit from Dürr AG

Dürr AG has introduced EcoAUC2, a new generation control unit developed for automated paint application systems. This system centrally manages the control of dosing technology, applicators, and auxiliary components, ensuring reliable and efficient coating operations in industrial production processes.

### Expanded Control Functions with EcoAUC2
EcoAUC2 expands the range of controlled components compared to its predecessor. In addition to dosing technology and applicators, high-speed shaper control is integrated, reducing cycle times and increasing operational safety in high-voltage environments.

An optionally integrated air heater is also included in the control system, supporting consistent application quality, especially in humid or hot production conditions.

To facilitate integration into modern plant architectures, EcoAUC2 supports industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and DeviceNet. This enables data exchange with higher-level production systems and plant networks.

### Integrated Cleaning Equipment Control
The cleaning equipment of Dürr atomizers is fully controlled via the EcoAUC2 application control unit. This simplifies system integration while centralizing process coordination.

In high-speed rotary atomizer EcoBell2 applications, EcoAUC2 automatically verifies that the high voltage is safely switched off before initiating the cleaning cycle. The system does not allow cleaning without power being disconnected. This feature enhances operational safety and reduces the risk of hazards during maintenance or automated cleaning.

### Increased Color and Hardener Capacity
EcoAUC2 addresses the growing demand for personalization and wider color palettes in industrial coating processes by increasing the number of supported color channels from 10 to 20.

Hardener management capacity has been raised from three to five, enabling the application of more complex paint formulations and less commonly used multi-component systems.

### Compact Design and Ready2integrate Concept
All EcoAUC2 components are housed in a compact control cabinet. This cabinet includes the following elements:

• Process controller
• Compressed air control system
• Visualization interface
• Robot control and safety PLC interfaces

The system is part of Dürr's ready2integrate concept, based on plug-and-play. Pre-tested and certified configurations, adapted to the respective dosing and application technologies, ensure quick installation.

The large display provides operators with easy monitoring of operations; application parameters and system status are centrally visualized.

### Central Component in Automated Coating Lines
With its combination of advanced color management, integrated cleaning control, and multi-protocol connectivity, EcoAUC2 serves as a central control element in automated paint application lines. The system supports flexible coating processes in industrial painting environments while optimizing process reliability and plant integration.
