    ## Access to Human-Like Systems Expands with Low-Cost Robotics

As the global service and industrial robot market continues to grow, igus is making human-like robotic systems more accessible with its low-cost automation solutions.

The market for mobile service and industrial robots is growing rapidly. According to a report by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), approximately 200,000 service robots were sold in 2024, with 51% of them used in transportation and logistics. In light of these developments, igus is offering new cost-effective robotic systems to expand automation and reduce integration complexity.

    ### Human-Like Robotics and Ease of Integration

Human-like robots are ideal for environments with variable processes and frequent relocation. However, high investment costs and complex implementation processes limit their widespread use. igus aims to overcome these barriers with cost-oriented system architectures, lubrication-free moving plastic components, and new AI-powered control technologies.

Maintenance-free joint bearings, highly flexible chainflex cables, and linear actuators form the mechanical basis for reliable movement. At the same time, igus is developing AI control systems that enable intuitive commissioning based on the principle of "teaching by showing, speaking, without programming." This system offers the possibility of using gestures and voice commands instead of traditional coding.

    ### Igus Iggy Rob and Affordable Human-Like Robots

The first significant step was the introduction of a humanoid robot named "Iggy Rob," built on the ReBeL Move platform and featuring two ReBeL cobot arms. Priced at 47,999 euros, it is much more affordable than traditional human-like platforms. More in-house produced humanoid robot models are planned to be offered on the RBTX online platform by Hannover Messe 2026.

    ### RBTX Platform: Manufacturer-Independent Integration Ecosystem

RBTX functions as a modular marketplace for robotic components. Approximately 260 manufacturers offer compatible modules based on the building block principle. To date, 95% of the implemented automation solutions have been priced under 18,000 euros. By the time of the fair, 95 humanoid models from 35 manufacturers are expected to be on the platform.

igus aims to transform RBTX into a comprehensive automation service center. In addition to compatibility-guaranteed components, the entire process, from initial inquiry to long-term support, will be managed through AI-based matching and certified integration partners.

    ### Autonomous Intralogistics and Pallet Movers

In the field of mobile robotics, igus is expanding its portfolio with autonomous forklifts designed for intralogistics applications, called ReBeL Pallet Mover. Versions with carrying capacities of 300 kg, 1,400 kg, and 1,500 kg are available. The 300 kg capacity model has a starting price of 67,340 euros, with an estimated return on investment period of 12-18 months.

By combining autonomous mobile robots, human-like systems, and AI-powered control technologies, igus aims to make robotic systems economical for small and medium-sized industrial enterprises and accelerate the widespread adoption of automation.
