Digi International has announced its new Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for its operational platforms, Digi Remote Manager (DRM) and Genesis monitoring. The MCP server enables customers to integrate their LLM (Large Language Models) products directly with DRM and Genesis, allowing them to more effectively monitor and manage their connected infrastructure and wireless wide area network (WAN) deployments.

Specifically, the MCP server allows users to query their device fleets, automate workflows, generate configuration insights, and troubleshoot system issues using natural language interfaces.

Digi states that the MCP server is designed with enterprise-grade security and management controls, thus ensuring data protection and responsible AI integration.

    ### Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server Features
    • Developed for Digi Remote Manager (DRM) and Genesis platforms
    • Natural language interface support with LLM product integration
    • Querying device fleets and automating workflows
    • Configuration analysis and system troubleshooting capabilities
    • Enterprise security and data protection measures
    • Management controls for responsible AI integration
