    ## AI-Powered Industrial Robotics Evolving Through Collaboration

FANUC and NVIDIA have initiated a strategic collaboration integrating AI, simulation, and robotics technologies to pioneer adaptive automation in factories.

This partnership aims to develop robots that can perceive, think, and act in dynamic production environments by combining FANUC’s expertise in robotics and factory automation with NVIDIA’s AI computing and simulation technologies.

    ### Digital Twins and Virtual Robot Training

A key pillar of the partnership is the integration of FANUC’s ROBOGUIDE simulation software with NVIDIA Isaac Sim and NVIDIA Omniverse. This allows manufacturers to create photorealistic digital twins of their production environments, simulate workflows, and train robots virtually before deploying them on-site.

Validating processes in a virtual environment shortens commissioning times, reduces costs, and improves system performance. Furthermore, digital twin technology enables continuous optimization of systems as production conditions change.

    ### AI-Powered Robots at the Edge

FANUC is incorporating real-time intelligence into industrial robots using NVIDIA Jetson edge processing modules and AI infrastructure. This allows robots to process data locally, adapt to production variables, and perform complex tasks with higher precision.

In application areas such as automotive manufacturing, logistics, and food processing, this technology provides rapid decision-making and enhanced responsiveness in time-critical operations.

    ### Open Platform and Advanced Programming

FANUC is expanding its open platform strategy to support AI-focused application development. The company offers ROS 2 drivers and Python programming support across its entire robot series. This enables developers to create and deploy AI applications more easily.

Robots also feature ultra-high-speed motion control, allowing for precise and dynamic adjustments to robot movements during operation.

    ### Natural Interaction and Easy Programming

The partnership is also exploring innovative methods for operators to interact with robots. Using NVIDIA AI technologies, it becomes possible to recognize voice commands and automatically generate Python code.

This approach simplifies robot programming, reduces the need for specialized expertise, and allows more employees to easily configure and adjust automation processes.

    ### Towards Adaptive Manufacturing

The integration of AI, simulation, and robotics supports the transition to more adaptive manufacturing systems. Virtual training, real-time intelligence, and simplified programming enable quick responses to changing production demands.

These capabilities support efforts to address labor shortages, increase customization, and boost operational efficiency, making physical AI a key technology in the future of industrial automation.
