## VDMA Machine Vision Undergoes Management Change: Daniel Seiler Appointed Chairman
Daniel Seiler, CEO of AT – Automation Technology GmbH, has been elected as the chairman of the VDMA Machine Vision section. This change also ushers in a new board of directors composed of prominent figures from the industry.
Daniel Seiler takes over the chairmanship from Dr. Olaf Munkelt. Munkelt, co-founder and managing director of MVTec Software GmbH, will step down from the chairmanship but will continue his role on the board of directors. Seiler emphasized the importance of collaboratively shaping the future of industrial image processing in Europe.
"Closer cooperation is needed to tackle complex challenges such as politics, international competition, and economic change," said Seiler, stating that industrial image processing will continue to be a global driving force in robotics and automation projects. He expressed that combining traditional mechanical engineering knowledge with artificial intelligence and digitalization technologies will lead the sector to success.
Other key figures on the VDMA Machine Vision board of directors have also changed roles. Dr. Kai Ströder, CTO of Basler AG, joined the Board, while Hardy Mehl, CEO of Basler AG, stepped down from his position due to his election to the board of directors of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association. Marco Reiter-Wassmann, managing director of Isra Vision GmbH, joined the board after Holger Wirth's departure.
