## U1000 Floor Standing Matrix Converter Elevates Power Quality in Industry

Yaskawa's new floor standing solution comes with a robust cabinet design suitable for demanding industrial environments. The system provides full regenerative capability and contributes to improving power quality and energy efficiency with harmonic distortion levels compliant with the IEEE 519 standard.
### Modular Architecture and Application Flexibility
The floor standing configuration offers high flexibility in cabinet design, adapting to different operational requirements and environments demanding high accessibility, efficiency, and sustainability. The system is designed for easy integration into existing processes and is suitable for applications requiring high reliability and continuous operation.
### DC-Link-Free Matrix Technology
The converter is based on Yaskawa's proven DC-link-free U1000 technology. This highly efficient direct converter eliminates the traditional DC link, reducing harmonic distortion to below 5% under full load and meeting IEEE 519 standards. This ensures high power quality under all operating conditions and in all four quadrants of operation.
By removing the traditional DC link, the system enables energy regeneration without braking resistors. The energy generated from regeneration is fed directly back into the grid and can be used by other loads within the facility, such as lighting systems or additional production processes.
