## NewTek Sensors Offer Reliable Performance in Harsh Environments
NewTek Sensors announced that their custom linear position sensing units are designed to operate reliably even at high temperatures up to 200°C. These sensors prevent thermal drift at high temperatures and eliminate the need for complex cooling or shielding thanks to their AC-operated LVDT (linear variable differential transformer) structures, which do not contain microelectronics.
### Features of NewTek High-Temperature LVDT Sensors
- AC-operated LVDT design with no microelectronics in the sensing element
- Stable operation at high temperatures up to 200°C
- Demodulation of low-amplitude AC output signal into DC voltage, current, or digital output
- Ability to operate in high-temperature areas with a signal conditioner
- Long-term reliability by reducing thermal drift
### Application Areas
- Aerospace and defense: Environmental control systems, flap and actuator tracking, high-temperature test platforms
- Power generation: Turbine actuator control, steam valve automation
- Oil and gas industry: Valve position monitoring and actuator feedback in refineries and processing plants
- Industrial processes: Plastic injection molding machines, casting equipment, metal forging presses
- Test and measurement: Environmental simulation chambers, high-temperature material tests
Parameters such as sensor body, stroke length, and high-temperature materials can be customized upon request. NewTek can even develop special sensor solutions for extreme conditions reaching up to 1000°C.
NewTek's design ensures long-lasting and high-performance sensors by keeping sensitive electronics away from high heat.
