    ## Kawasaki's Compact 110kg Capacity Palletizing Robot

Kawasaki has introduced the CP110L, a high-speed palletizing robot with a 110kg payload capacity, aimed at businesses facing space constraints in logistics automation.

    ### Logistics and Industrial Palletizing Applications
When implementing palletizing automation in logistics centers, manufacturing plants, and distribution units, balancing payload capacity, reach, ceiling height, and installation footprint presents technical challenges. Kawasaki's new CP110L model addresses these challenges with a maximum payload capacity of 110kg and high-speed operation capabilities.

With the addition of the 110kg class to its existing CP series, which previously ranged from 180kg to 700kg payload capacity, the company can now meet a wider range of palletizing applications in logistics processes.

    ### First Hollow Wrist Design in the 110kg Class
A standout feature of the CP110L is its use of a hollow wrist structure, a first for palletizing robots in the 110kg payload capacity. This design allows cables connected to the end effector to pass through the wrist, reducing cable length and simplifying installation and maintenance.

By routing cables internally rather than externally, the interference area around the wrist is also reduced, especially in confined palletizing cells. This lowers the risk of mechanical collisions for system integrators and simplifies layout design.

    ### Compact Design for Low-Ceiling Installations
While limited ceiling height can complicate robot selection, the CP110L offers a maximum reach point ceiling height of 2242mm and a rotation axis interference radius of 453mm for its 110kg payload capacity. These dimensions enable the robot's installation in logistics sites where vertical or cell space is restricted.

    ### High Throughput and Wide Range of Motion
The robot provides a throughput of 2200 boxes per hour with a 60kg payload (including the end effector), designed for a reciprocal motion pattern that includes a 400mm vertical lift, 2000mm horizontal movement, and a 400mm descent.

Additionally, the CP110L accommodates higher stacks and larger pallet formats with a maximum vertical motion range of 2433mm and a maximum reach of 2505mm. This motion capability brings flexibility to various production layouts.

    ### Integrated Power Regeneration for Energy Efficiency
The CP110L comes standard with a power regeneration function. Regenerative energy generated during deceleration and direction changes is converted into electricity and reused. This feature reduces energy consumption and CO₂ emissions for palletizing operations that require continuous acceleration and direction changes.

    ### Position in the Palletizing Robot Market
In the 100-120kg palletizing segment, manufacturers like FANUC and Yaskawa offer similar solutions. Selection criteria in this segment typically include maximum reach, capacity (boxes per hour), interference radius, and installation footprint.

The CP110L stands out in this class with its hollow wrist design and low ceiling requirements, providing a capacity of 2200 boxes/hour. Kawasaki has expanded its palletizing automation solutions for the medium-load class by bringing the CP series down to the 110kg level.
