    ## Commercial Step in Mobile Robots with the Hyundai MobED Alliance

Hyundai Motor Group has introduced the MobED Alliance, a new business cooperation ecosystem, to accelerate the commercialization of its MobED mobile robot platform. This initiative brings together parts suppliers, integrators, and public institutions in the robotics sector to support the platform's application in various industries.

    ### What is the Hyundai MobED Alliance?
The MobED Alliance creates an infrastructure for the MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid) mobile robot platform, specifically developed for complex indoor and outdoor environments, to transition into industrial production and integration processes. Introduced at the Automation World 2026 exhibition in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, this cooperation model aims for a wide range of uses, from manufacturing to field applications.

    ### MobED Mobile Robot Platform Features
    • Mobile robot platform capable of navigating challenging indoor and outdoor environments
    • Automatic self-balancing system providing stability on uneven terrain
    • Easy integration with upper systems thanks to its modular structure
    • Suitable for various applications such as outdoor delivery, security patrol, scientific research, and mobile video production
    • Won the "Most Innovative Robot" award at CES 2026

    ### System Components and Solutions in Collaboration
The MobED Alliance sees Hyundai Motor Group Robotics LAB providing the core platform technology, while suppliers like Hyundai Transys and SL Corporation offer sensors, batteries, and electronic modules. Companies such as LS THiRA-UTECH and Kaon Robotics are developing application-specific solutions. Public institutions, meanwhile, are collaborating in project support and dissemination.

    ### Real Sector Applications and Demo
Within the framework of the alliance, approximately ten different application modules are planned for development. These modules enable the mobile robot to be used in areas such as digital signage, drone stations, and outdoor delivery.

At Automation World 2026, the MobED platform was showcased with live demos of its solutions for broadcasting, logistics delivery, loading/unloading, and golf courses. Visitors had the opportunity to experience manual driving, autonomous navigation, and self-balancing capabilities on different terrains.

With the MobED Alliance and modular robot technology, Hyundai aims to popularize mobile robots in B2B and public applications. This is expected to significantly support the development of South Korea's robotics sector.
