## Autonics' Closed-Loop Stepper Motor System for Precise Position Control
Autonics has introduced the AiC-MT series, a high-torque and high-precision stepper motor system. This system combines the precise positioning capability of servo systems with the high holding torque of stepper motors.
The AiC-MT series provides control for up to 254 axes via the Modbus TCP protocol. The system is equipped with an integrated controller and encoder, offering support for closed-loop control. Furthermore, features typically found in a servo system have been integrated into this stepper motor system.

- Operates with a 24 VDC power supply, consuming 240 W during operation and 15 W in holding state
- High holding torque that prevents automatic position hunting
While position deviation and position hunting are common issues under load in typical servo systems, the high holding torque of the AiC-MT eliminates this problem. The use of an encoder provides real-time position verification, preventing potential deviations or alarm conditions.
### Closed-Loop Control System
Unlike open-loop systems which lack a feedback mechanism, closed-loop systems continuously monitor the motor's position via an encoder. This minimizes position errors even in high-speed applications.
### Application Areas
Stepper motors can be preferred in many areas where servo motors are used. They are an ideal solution in places where three-phase AC power is unavailable or in systems requiring stable and precise positioning. Especially in image processing applications like camera positioning, clear and stable positioning is crucial.
