## Automated Machining Solution with Flexible Robotic Cell from GROB
GROB-WERKE has developed a modular robotic cell that increases efficiency and reduces unit costs through automated part handling and integrated production control. This system offers innovative solutions for high-volume, unmanned production environments.
### Modular Automation and Flexible Multi-Machine Compatible Robotic Cell
GROB's new robotic cell is designed to connect with one or two 5-axis universal machining centers, such as the G150, G350a, and G350. This allows manufacturers to easily adapt to different strategies, such as single-part machining or multi-machine parallel production.
Its modular structure enables rapid adaptation to varying batch sizes and complex part geometries. By feeding multiple machines simultaneously, it reduces waiting times and accelerates production by increasing spindle utilization.
### FANUC 6-Axis Robot and Vision-Assisted Accuracy
At the heart of the system is a FANUC 6-axis industrial robot, equipped with a single or double gripper depending on the application. With camera-based positioning technology, Euro pallets and trolleys are aligned with high precision during loading and unloading.
This vision-assisted handling minimizes placement errors, shortens non-machining time, and makes the process more reliable during long periods of unmanned production cycles.
### Flexible Feeding System
The robotic cell features a feeding system that offers one, two, or four loading position options. Depending on part size and logistical demands, a Euro pallet, roll cage, or optional drawer module can be chosen.
This flexibility allows manufacturers to optimize material flow without completely redesigning the system. The compact design also ensures easy integration in limited spaces.
### Production Transparency with GROB4Automation Software
The integrated GROB4Automation control software provides visual management of production orders and planning functions. It simplifies the programming and monitoring of machining processes, supporting efficient management of complex workflows.
This configuration reduces setup times, enables long periods of unmanned production, and increases operational visibility. This approach offers a significant advantage for facilities looking to balance increasing production demands with workforce limitations.
### Adapting to Industry Trends
GROB's modular and digitally supported automation solution addresses the need for cost reduction, skilled labor shortages, and flexibility. These standardized yet configurable systems offer the possibility of gradual integration into production lines.
The system's compatibility with existing machining platforms and flexible feeding features allow manufacturers to increase their automation capabilities while keeping infrastructure investments to a minimum.
At the exhibition, GROB also showcased rotary and linear pallet storage systems, as well as other robotic cell solutions for different production scenarios, demonstrating its approach to end-to-end production integration.
