Kontron has expanded its KPanel S series with a 21.5-inch display, offering support for complex machine visualization and edge-based industrial automation. This new panel PC is designed for automation environments where multi-window process views, detailed HMI displays, and parallel operation of visualization and control applications are required.

### Designed for Complex Machine-Level Visualization
The 21.5-inch KPanel S model is ideal for applications where operators need simultaneous access to numerous process parameters, diagnostics, and control interfaces. Typical use cases include processing machines, packaging systems, production lines, and process automation.

### Performance and Hardware
The KPanel S platform is offered in two performance classes. KPanel S-AML/ADN models are equipped with Intel Atom x7000RE, Intel Core i3 N series, and Intel N series processors. For visualization and control applications requiring higher processing power, the KPanel S-RPL version, equipped with 13th Gen Intel Core processors, is available. All models are built on Kontron 3.5-inch single-board computers, which are also used in other Kontron Panel and Box PC systems.

### Durability and Integration
The device's IP65 protection ensures high resistance to dust and water splashes. Thanks to its full metal casing and passive cooling, it offers long-lasting, fanless operation. Easy integration into machines is possible with multiple support arm configurations and secure cable management.

### Software and Security
It can operate as a web-based HMI client with the optional QIWI tool. The Linux-based secure operating system, KontronOS, is suitable for high cybersecurity requirements. A CMOS battery option is available for real-time clock (RTC) applications.

### Role in Industrial Automation
The 21.5-inch display variant extends the KPanel S series' capability to support larger format HMIs without altering the hardware ecosystem. With features such as IP65 protection, passive cooling, multi-touch screen, and high-speed connectivity, it meets machine-level control and visualization needs.
