Valmet will provide energy balance and district heating accumulator optimization solutions for Fortum's energy production facilities located in Espoo, Finland.

These new solutions will integrate with Fortum's existing Valmet Distributed Control System (DCS), leveraging advanced automation and predictive energy management capabilities. These critical solutions will enhance the company's flexible and reliable participation in electricity reserve markets while also improving the cost-effectiveness of district heating production.

Electric boiler capacity has been substantially increased, while fossil fuel-based production capacity has been decommissioned.
