  • Siemens'in Yeni PLC Modeli: S7-1200 G2

Siemens has introduced the S7-1200 G2, the updated model of its widely used PLC series, globally. The S7-1200 is a prominent model among Siemens' compact PLCs, offering upgrade possibilities with signal boards and modules. This update, showcased at Hannover Messe, comes with a host of new features. Experienced PLC engineers know the importance of reliable control system technology. What distinguishes one PLC from others is not just the hardware; it's also robust and comprehensive software that allows for efficient and practical programming and diagnostics.

    S7-1200 G2 Innovative Features

This PLC series is designed as the next evolution of the S7-1200 series, offering all the advantages provided by the original models that have been established for over a decade. The purpose of the original series is still preserved: flexibility, cost savings, and space optimization, while maintaining powerful processor capabilities.
The basic chassis has a compact form factor with integrated digital inputs and outputs. Experienced users will notice some key differences, and there are also exciting updates "under the hood."
The layout on the PLC's surface has been updated, with the power input located at the bottom and updated communication ports moved to the top. The improved LED layout provides diagnostic information for I/O points; there is also the possibility of expansion through additional signal boards and signal modules. The connections for I/O points have also been improved to enhance ease of use.
Internally, many features have been added and improved. The wireless icon on the front indicates the presence of NFC (near-field communication). This communication format is similar to RFID but works by using a connected application that provides detailed diagnostics and device status information.
The PLC is also equipped with increased memory, enhanced text-based diagnostics, and integrated motion control for multiple coordinated axes. It is programmed using Siemens' dedicated IDE, TIA Portal; this software package brings together PLC, motion/motor control, and HMI environments.
